Welcome to Aida C. Escobar Elementary Library!

 
Hello, welcome to our Bobcat Library! My name is Mary Villarreal and I am the librarian here at Aida C. Escobar Elementary. I have a Masters Degree in Library Science which I obtained from Sam Houston State University. Before becoming a librarian I taught for 15 years, grades kinder-2nd. I have 2 dogs, Marley (German Shepherd) and Astro (Chihuahua).  I love visiting the beach and spending time with my family.

At our library you will:

• be able to check out books of your choice
• be encouraged to join activities such as Battle of the Books, Batalla de los libros and Spelling Bee 
• learn how to navigate the many resources available on MackinVIA
• participate in learning centers 

 
LIBRARY HOURS & LITERACY NIGHTS: 

The library is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Family Literacy Hour is the last Tuesday of every month from 4: 30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Read a book to your pet! If you don't have a pet, read to a toy.
